Southern, Middle Belt Leaders Condemn Kaduna Killings

Published

on

The Southern and Middle Belt leaders have condemned the current wave of killings in the southern part of Kaduna.

The leaders, under the aegis of Southern and Middle Belt Forum (SMBLF), expressed concern by the latest wave of killings in southern Kaduna which, according to Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), have claimed 63 lives.

The Forum, in a joint statement signed by Yinka Odumakin (South-west), Chief Guy Ikokwu (South-east), Senator Bassey Henshaw (South-south) and Dr Isuwa Dogo (Middle Belt), stressed that it is quite worrisome that the orgy of killings has continued in spite of the curfew imposed by the Kaduna State Government.

The leaders therefore called on the federal government to wade into the crisis “and stop the killings, bring the perpetrators to book and stop making statements seeming to justify the killings and deceive the world about the situation in the area as only bloody minded people will refuse to heed this advice now”.

The one-page release issued on Sunday stated inter alia: “In the past weeks, there have been reports of killings, especially in the southern part of Kaduna State with the most recent massacres at Kukum Daji and Gora Gan put at 33 deaths, aside from the scores who are in hospitals receiving treatment from various degrees of gunshots.

“However, instead of the Buhari-led Federal Government of Nigeria stepping in to find a lasting solution in the midst of tardiness by the state government, it is unfortunate that it has resorted to provocative statements. One of such is the annoying claims credited to the Senior Special Assistant (Media & Publicity) to the President of Nigeria, Malam Garba Shehu, on the 21st July 2020 that ‘the problem in southern Kaduna is an evil combination of politically-motivated banditry, revenge killings and mutual violence by criminal gangs acting on ethnic and religious grounds’.

“As if the above confusion is not enough, Garba Shehu further misinformed the Nigerian and the international communities that ‘southern Kaduna enjoys comprehensive security deployments, including the Army, Special Forces of both the Army and the Air Force, surveillance aircraft by the Air Force and mobile police units that are on the ground on a 24-hour basis to forestall criminality and keep the peace’.

“These are not responsible statements from any government in the midst of body bags daily being counted by the people of southern Kaduna in the hands of alleged Fulani marauders.”

Bloodshed: Resign Now, God is Angry with You, Popular Pastor Tells Buhari

Published

Following the butchery that occurred in Borno State on Saturday, a popular Nigerian cleric and leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elisah Ayodele, has spoken against the act that claimed the lives of over 43 farmers.
He described that act as a sad occurrence and a confirmation that God is not happy with the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He made it known that the recent happenings in the country have shown beyond doubt that President Buhari can’t lead the country anymore, therefore, he should honourably resign for someone who has the capacity to lead the country.
He also reinstated his statement that President Muhammadu Buhari needs to sack his service chiefs before the security in Nigeria can improve, while describing the present ones as ‘weak and tired’
‘The killings that took place in Borno on Saturday are saddening, disheartening and shame to our dear country.
The stubbornness of President Muhammadu Buhari and not listening to advise has affected his government.
He knows what to do to control it but it’s as if he has made up his mind to shed blood of Nigerians. God is not happy with this government because lots of blood has been sucked and there is no way the government won’t pay for it.
This is sad, I’m sure the number is more than that, and that is why Buhari isn’t capable of leading this country again, he should resign honourably and let someone else who has the capacity to be there, he has failed Nigerians and there is no way God will be happy with him. How long will we continue to experience this.
The service chiefs are tired, they don’t know what to do, they are confused, they are just there making noise, they don’t have the stamina and idea.
My concern is Buhari has all it takes to do a positive thing about the security of the country but he has ignored the people, there is no peace, we have killings, armed robbery attack, it’s a shame to the government, he should have resigned honourably and have peace of mind.’
Meanwhile, Primate Ayodele in his annual book of Prophecy titled Warning to the nation had warned against the recent sad occurrence that happened in Ondo and Borno States.
On page 37 under Borno section, Primate Ayodele noted that Jere Local government should be careful of strange and unexpected attacks, which eventually happened.
Also on Page 86 under Ondo state section, he categorically said that the state should pray against losing a king or dethronement of a king, as he warned, news had it last week that a first class monarch in Ondo was shot dead by unknown armed men.

#EndSARS: ‘Wickedness of the Wicked Shall Consume the Wicked’

Published

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries is deeply saddened by the unwarranted, unnecessary, callous, barbaric and inhuman use of live bullets by the security forces on Nigerian youths in Lagos, who were on peaceful protests to register their grievances with regards to violation of their fundamental human rights by the security agents.
It is indeed a Black Tuesday in the annals of Lagos and Nigeria. This is least expected in this century. While youths all over the world are contributing their own quota to good governance, the security forces are shooting their own in cold blood, devoid of human feelings and empathy.
Biblical principles of the Almighty God, says that the wickedness of the wicked, will consume the wicked. Those who shed innocent blood, their own blood will certainly be shed.
Let it be known that whatever is done under the cover of darkness with the belief that nobody sees it, will surely be brought to light and God the Ultimate Judge, will definitely judge speedily.
For it is written in Psalm 10.18 “You will hear the cries of the oppressed and the orphans; you will judge in their favor, so that mortal men may cause terror no more”.
Our hearts and prayers go to the Nigerian youths and all others negatively affected by this unfortunate and avoidable situation. We pray that God Almighty will minister peace and comfort to their hearts.
We also commiserate with the parents and guardians of the victims of this extreme show of force ,lack of empathy and lack of brotherly love, from those that committed this dastardly act.
To the Nigerian government, we will like to advise that going forward, utmost care and caution, coupled with divine wisdom, should be employed in bringing a lasting solution to the problem at hand.
Nigeria is all we have as Nigerians.
LET THE PEACE OF GOD REIGN SUPREME IN NIGERIA IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME. AMEN.
